Leave it to Donatella Versace to incorporate sexy, sophistication and a little quirkiness to any collection she creates.
In the most recent Versus Lookbook, we see touches of classic menswear spruced up with a little sex appeal, rock and roll and unique detailing. Whether it be finger painting detailing at the hem of classic rolled trousers or checkerboard vinyl applique on the classic letterman jacket, Versus always shows us how to jazz up our basics in subtle but intriguing ways. Furthermore, this collection focuses on taking subtle detailing from the rugged rock and roll aesthetic and twisting them in very artful manners. From the leather breast pockets and leather and silver hardware fanny packs to the artfully checker-board studded jacket, we see sophistication and rock and roll fuse together and blossom into a sui generis style.
On the sensual side, the deep-red paisley sweater gives off an air of a relaxed, romantic and overall cool rocker feel. Lastly, what is interesting about this collection is we get a feel for many eras yet they all somehow seem so cohesive. We see WWII military-esque jackets, mod 60s, classic 70s rock and 90s grunge. All of which come together into an aggregation of ultimate cool.
